A look at the growing popularity of Buddhism, we'll learn how some local groups are helping women on the road to self-sufficiency, plus a look ahead to the future of the annual Puerto Rican Festival. Video Video
MCC Gateway/Mental Health Association
This week on Many Voices, Many Visions we focus on the power of second chances. We feature a new program for high school dropouts at Monroe Community College. The Gateway to College Program gives students a chance to earn a diploma and college credit. Also, meet a group of people for whom mental illness is not a setback, but something that can inspire a new way of seeing the world through art. Video Video

This week on Many Voices, Many Visions new host Norma Holland talks to members of the Center for Disability Rights as the organization celebrates Ten Years of Independence. "Many Voices, Many Visions" is a multicultural public affairs program airing on 13WHAM-TV Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. The show explores our community's diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, creed, age, gender, gender orientation and ability. Teachers are invited to tape the programs for educational use. Each week the original "Many Voices, Many Visions" theme song is performed by different Rochester community members. Student performances are welcome.
